Skinny Days
Artist ∙ Pop
The Norwegian duo Skinny Days—known for their vocal-driven, synth-laden dance hits—formed in 2010 when Dag Holtan-Hartwig and Halvor Folstad met as students at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Already producing and songwriting for other people, they released their first single, “Alright Right Now,” in 2015. The song introduced the pair’s colorful beats and expressive lyrics, a signature blend that allowed them to cross over into the world of pop music. One frequent collaborator is Norwegian pop star CLMD, whose rave-leaning single “Trouble” featured writing and production by the duo. Be it over Top 40 radio or on club and festival dance floors, Skinny Days’ beats command a consistent presence in Europe’s competitive EDM scene.
