MOTHICA
Artist ∙ Pop
Singer-songwriter Mothica—born McKenzie Ellis—draws from her struggles with sobriety and mental health to craft indie electronica that she refers to as “gloom pop.”
∙ Her first viral hit, “No One,” was featured on 2015’s Mythic EP, which she wrote and produced between classes while studying computer programming in college.
∙ EDM producer Pusher tapped her to appear on his 2016 single “Clear,” which landed just shy of the Top 40 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
∙ The 2020 breakthrough “VICES” propelled her full-length debut, Blue Hour, to No. 1 on the iTunes Pop chart.
