Sneaky Sound System

Artist ∙ Dance

Born in the trenches of Sydney nightlife, Sneaky Sound System have dazzled audiences with anthemic dance-floor thumpers since 2001. The group was cofounded by guitarist and eventual lead producer Angus McDonald and gained buzz for slick club remixes before recruiting powerhouse vocalist Connie Mitchell in 2004 amidst production for their self-titled debut album. A swirling melange of disco, Eurodance, and pop adrenaline became the perfect canvas for Mitchell's commanding delivery and soaring hooks, leading to 2006's seductive radio smash, “I Love It.” Subsequent releases “UFO” and “Kansas City” cemented the band's sexy quirkiness and caught the attention of artists like Rick Ross and Kanye West, who invited Mitchell to contribute vocals to his signature “Flashing Lights” track. The band’s synth-driven 2011 LP, From Here to Anywhere, became their prismatic opus, unleashing fan favorite torch songs “We Love” and “Big,” which remain standards of their euphoric performances to this day.
