CHANGMO is a South Korean rapper and producer who's landed hits as a solo artist and a go-to collaborator for K-pop stars.
• The rapper hustled with early mixtapes and EPs before gaining mainstream interest after signing with Ambition Musik, a label formed by established Korean hip-hop stars Dok2 and The Quiett.
• His initial chart hits came in 2017 thanks to collaborations with top K-pop stars. He partnered with Hyolyn for “Blue Moon” and R&B singer Suran for “Wine,” which featured production from Suga of BTS.
• CHANGMO found slow-burning solo success with his 2018 single “Meteor,” which topped the Korean charts in 2020 and further solidified him as a hip-hop great.
• In May 2020, British rapper Stormzy tapped CHANGMO for a Korean remix of “Own It,” his dancehall-inspired collaboration with Burna Boy that hit No. 1 on the UK charts.
