Dan Caplen
Artist ∙ R&B/Soul
Brixton-based R&B/neo-soul singer Daniel Caplen (also known as D/C) looks to the past and the present for a unique take on gravelly vocals and left-field production. Born in London in 1992, he mastered piano and cello by his early teens, giving way to an interest in production and remixing. Caplen briefly studied in Portland, Oregon, a move that helped to inspire his approach. In 2014 he self-released his debut EP, Epiphany, gaining the attention of Atlantic Records, which signed him the following year and released the Badman EP in 2016. After another year of hard work, Caplen gained significant exposure with the singles "Flat Champagne," "My Hood," and "Two Fingers." Caplen began 2018 by appearing on Rudimental's "These Days." ~ Liam Martin
