Route 94

Artist ∙ Dance

Under the name Route 94, London producer Rowan Jones releases melodic deep house and club-ready tech house tunes. He topped the UK charts with his 2014 debut single, “My Love,” featuring Jess Glynne.

• Before making hits as a house producer, Jones got his start making dubstep under the name Dream. Scene originators Skream and Benga were friends and big supporters.
• As his interests changed, so too did his name, and in 2013, Route 94 debuted with the Fly 4 Life EP.
• The name Route 94 comes from the highway connecting Chicago and Detroit, the two American cities that birthed house and techno, respectively.
• “My Love,” his 2014 collaboration with singer Jess Glynne, debuted at No. 1 on the UK singles and dance charts. The single charted in more than a dozen countries around the world.
• He followed that success in 2014 with another EP, a techier four-track collection called Misunderstood.
• By 2021, Route 94 had released five EPs. His poppy 2020 house hit “Sad Songs,” featuring L Devine, received a remix by his buddy old Skream.
