Antonio Carmona
Artist ∙ Pop Latino
Antonio Carmona (Granada, Spain, 1965) is an internationally renowned flamenco fusion singer. Born into a family of famous flamenco musicians, Carmona joined his brother José and his cousin Josemi in Ketama, arguably the most influential flamenco act of its generation given its revolutionary assimilation of genres such as jazz, salsa, Arabian, and African music. Ketama disbanded in 2004 after enjoying a long tenure as one of the leading lights of the world music scene. Carmona found considerable success as a solo artist with his debut, Vengo Venenoso (2006), followed by De Noche (2011). His third album, Obras Son Amores, would arrive in 2017. ~ Mariano Prunes
