Singer-songwriter John Paul “JP” Cooper, a native of Manchester, England, started out in 2012 as an acoustic artist before transitioning to electro-infused folktronica.
∙ The British MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards recognized Cooper as One to Watch in 2015.
∙ He was featured on dance-pop producer Jonas Blue’s “Perfect Strangers” single, which climbed to No. 2 on the UK Singles chart in 2016.
∙ In 2017, his second single, “September Song,” peaked at No. 7 on the UK chart.
∙ His 2020 Too Close EP was produced by Salt Wives (Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha) and Vodka (David Guetta, Jason Derulo).
