In the artist’s words:

Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I was a military kid living in England when The Beatles hit the scene in 1962, so I got a two year head start on their music. The Beatles, Yardbirds, and Cream, and other British bands, influenced me to become a bass player andI never looked back.

What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Cream, Wheels of Fire
Eberhard Weber, Rarum XVIII - Eberhard Weber Selected Recordings
Little Feat, The Best of Little Feat (Remastered)
These album changed my life! "Wheels"had the perfect combination of great studio tracks and awesome live recordings. "Dixie Chicken": taught me about New Orleans - inspired rhythms, and Eberhard Weber opened me up to a whole different kind of jazz.

Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“World Peace (feat. The McCrary Sisters)”
Regina McCrary and I wrote this song just before the pandemic. The words are more true now than ever. We need to love and respect one another and recognize we are all humans, and have much more in common with each other than differences.

What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Recording "Country Comforts" with Earl Scruggs and Elton John was a special moment. So was recording with Emmylou Harris and The Chieftains. I have also played with Steve Winwood, Peter Frampton, Duane Eddy, Chet Atkins and Willie Nelson, all heroes.

Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I just want to continue to make good music that makes a difference in the world.
