Dominican rapper Chimbala’s collaboration with Liro Shaq on the single “Bye Bye” was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2018 Premios Soberano awards.

∙ He’s developed a second career as an actor, costarring in the 2019 comedy Super Bomberos and the 2018 crime drama Calle sin Salida.
∙ The video for his 2018 single “Maniqui” garnered more than 50 million views, leading to remixes with Farruko and Pitbull.
∙ In his biggest US exposure to date, he appeared alongside Ozuna, Arcangel, and El Alfa at the 2019 Soulfrito Music Festival in Brooklyn.
∙ He was a featured guest on the final date of Farruko’s sold-out Miami show, performing with Zion & Lennox, Lenny Tavarez, Jay Wheeler, and Tito El Bambino.
