Artist ∙ Classical

American conductor Robert Ziegler has had a creatively diverse career, working with the top orchestras in London, as well in opera, film, classical crossover, popular music, and radio.

∙ With film and TV credits going back to 1990, Ziegler has conducted the scores of many art-house favorites, including Kenneth Branagh’s Hamlet and Steve McQueen’s Widows.
∙ Radiohead has collaborated with Ziegler, who worked on OK Computer and The King of Limbs, as well as several film scores by band member Jonny Greenwood.
∙ He has conducted on recordings by leading modern classical and classical-crossover composers Rachel Fuller (Animal Requiem) and Ludovico Einaudi (Divenire).
∙ In 2008, he served as music director for Randy Newman’s orchestral show at LSO St Luke’s, which was released as the album and concert film Randy Newman (Live in London).
Pete Townshend’s Classic Quadrophenia, which Ziegler conducted, peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Classical Albums chart in 2015.
