Jakwob
Artist ∙ Electronic
Jakwob was exposed to dubstep through a club encounter with Rusko. He started a club night, Wob, but got into making mash-ups and remixes. In 2009, he was sought to remix the Temper Trap, Frankmusik, and the Veronicas, but his 2010 remix of Ellie Goulding's "Starry Eyed" raised him to a new level. While increasingly busy due to the festival and touring circuit, Jakwob continued to produce remixes for high-profile releases, including Tiësto vs. Diplo's "C'mon (Catch 'Em by Surprise)" and Lana Del Rey's "Video Games" (a collaboration with Etherwood). In March 2013, he released "Fade" (featuring Maiday), which reached the Top Ten of the U.K. club chart. He prepared his debut album for release later that year. ~ Andy Kellman
