Rupert Gregson-Williams started composing as a teenager, when he tried to replicate prog rock’s “crazy time signatures.”

∙ He has performed for Japan’s emperor and toured the world with The Choir of St John’s College.
∙ After bonding with composer Richard Harvey over a shared love of international music, he assisted Harvey and Elvis Costello on the soundtrack for the TV series Jake’s Progress.
∙ In 1998, Gregson-Williams joined Hans Zimmer’s stable of composers and helped score Dreamworks’ first animated feature, The Prince of Egypt.
∙ He has created scores for such hit films as Hacksaw Ridge, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman.
∙ He received Emmy Award nominations for The Crown and Jim Henson’s Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story.
∙ In 2019, he had his first acting credit, as a yeti's “humming voice” in the animated movie Abominable.
