London-born singer-songwriter Jem Cooke released a 2009 album of soul and pop tunes before embracing her love of electronic music a few years later. She’s since collaborated with electronic artists like Wilkinson, CamelPhat, and Zero 7.

• The daughter of esteemed British Christian music artist David Cooke, Jem began recording music as early as five years old.
• In 2005, Jem traveled to New York City, where she landed a 12-week residency at the popular Greenwich Village nightclub The Bitter End.
• Three years after her 2009 debut album, I Am Jem Cooke, Jem marked her entrance into the electronic scene with 2012’s “Go On Then,” a collaboration with producer Kate Simko.
• Her 2013 mixtape Cookie Jam features several British rap acts, including Ms. Dynamite and Krept & Konan.
• Jem, DJ Cristoph, and electronic production duo CamelPhat teamed up for the 2018 single “Breathe,” which hit No. 10 on the UK Dance Singles Chart and No. 40 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs.
• Jem and house producer DJ S.K.T. teamed up for the viral 2020 summer hit “Boomerang (Round & Round).”
