NERVO

Artist ∙ Dance

If NERVO are equally at home DJing massive festivals and writing hits for legendary superstars, that’s because the two worlds aren’t all that different for them. Olivia and Miriam Nervo have spent their career blurring the lines between EDM and pop, and they’re well-suited to the task: Who has a better grasp of both deep commonalities and minute differences than identical twins? Born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1982, the sisters got their start as songwriters in the mid-2000s, then hit it big in 2009 with their work on David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s “When Love Takes Over.” Over the years, they’ve penned songs for a wide array of singers and dance producers, including Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Kylie Minogue, and Avicii. But since the EDM boom of the early 2010s, they’ve mostly specialized in their own songs, developing a winning fusion of radio-ready hooks and club-friendly grooves that incorporate elements of big room, tropical house, trap, and more—paired, of course, with their outlandish sense of style and endless charisma.
