Hardwell

Artist ∙ Dance

By bolstering the force of his propulsive dance tracks with elements of hip-hop, R&B, pop, and rock, Dutch DJ and producer Hardwell helped EDM become a dominant force in the 2010s and beyond. Born Robbert van de Corput in Breda in 1988, Hardwell dove deep into music while still a teenager, becoming a DJ and making his own electro tracks. In 2010, he launched his record label, Revealed, to showcase the high-impact sound he was developing alongside some more of Europe's rising dance-music talents. Singles like 2012's "Spaceman" and 2013's "Jumper" (with W&W) put Hardwell at the forefront of EDM and the block-rocking subgenre known as big room house. After fusing EDM with anthemic rock on "Young Again" and hip-hop on "Don't Stop the Madness"—two club favorites that he later included on his 2015 debut, United We Are—Hardwell made an equally thrilling return to his electro and techno foundations on 2022's Rebels Never Die.
