French Horn Rebellion
Artist ∙ Electronic
Milwaukee-bred brothers David and Robert Perlick-Molinari make up Brooklyn electro-rock duo the French Horn Rebellion. The combo’s name is derived from the fact that Robert is an accomplished French horn player who held first chair in his university’s symphony orchestra. David, however, is a computer sound designer, and this pursuit is the basis of the band’s sound. With a heavily 1980s-influenced take on electronic party music, French Horn Rebellion employs a variety of Depeche Mode-like synth sounds and references to some of the era’s most lowbrow pop hits.
