Peter Dijkstra

Peter Dijkstra is a Dutch choral conductor. As a boy he sang in a choir founded by his father, Bouwe Dijkstra, and went on to perform with Gustav Leonhardt, Sigiswald Kuijken, and Max van Egmond. He pursued music studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the College for Music and Dance in Cologne, and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He directed vocal ensemble the Gents, and he has conducted the Netherlands Chamber Choir and the Bavarian Radio Choir, as well as the Swedish Radio Choir. He has recorded for BR Klassik, Channel Classics, and Sony Classical.
