Nidji

Artist ∙ Pop

Nidji’s high-energy, colourful compositions—such as “Hapus Aku” and “Disco Lazy Time”—quickly garnered the Jakarta-based group a massive following upon their debut in the mid-2000s. Drawing inspiration from Brit-pop, American alternative rock and synth-pop, the six-piece consistently released material in both Indonesian and English, one of the very few popular Indonesian bands to do so. In the interim between the exit of former frontman Giring and the addition of Yusuf Ubay in 2019, the other members of Nidji remained busy with their electronica-focused offspring, NEV+.
