Bad Meets Evil

Artist ∙ Hip-Hop/Rap

Consisting of Eminem and Royce da 5’9”, the rap group Bad Meets Evil is a showcase for two legendary Detroit MCs with undeniable chemistry.

• Em met Royce in 1997, when the latter was opening for Usher at the Hollywood Palladium. Eminem wasn’t yet famous.
• Bad Meets Evil debuted in 1999 with a two-song single consisting of “Nuttin’ to Do” and “Scary Movies.”
• When Eminem rose to fame and launched the group D12, Royce and EM’s relationship soured.
• Following the death of D12 member Proof in 2006, Eminem and Royce hashed out their differences. Em’s Shady Records signed Royce’s group Slaughterhouse in 2011, and Bad Meets Evil returned with the EP Hell: The Sequel that same year.
• Royce has continued collaborating with Eminem, and in 2020, he guested on three songs off the superstar’s Music to Be Murdered By.
