MILLENNIUM PARADE
Artist ∙ Alternative
The brainchild of Daiki Tsuneta, Tokyo-based producer/songwriter and frontman for Japanese rock outfit King Gnu, Millennium Parade is a creative collective with a wide-ranging sound that combines elements of alternative rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz, and electronic music. Emerging in 2019, the group found success the following year when their single "Fly with Me" was used as the theme song for the popular Japanese animated series Ghost in the Shell. They released their self-titled debut album, an ambitious concept effort rooted in Japanese folklore, in 2021. Millennium Parade kicked off 2024 with the dizzying "GOLDENWEEK," a pulsing, dancefloor-filling single inspired by Tsuneta's experiences in London and Los Angeles.
