Tomcraft

Artist ∙ Dance

Tomcraft, born Thomas Brückner in Munich, was known for his powerful brand of electro-tinged trance. His first singles, "Rollercoaster" and "This Is No House," were released in 1995, after which his career as a DJ and producer went from strength to strength. In 2003, Brückner enjoyed huge success on the European pop charts with "Loneliness," which was already popular in clubs before its commercial crossover. Tomcraft's debut, 2001's All I Got, featured a number of his successful singles. MUC followed in 2003. Its electro-trance content drew comparisons with the Human League and even ELO, and once again demonstrated Brückner's ear for effective dancefloor dynamics and his skill reproducing them in the studio. It featured two versions of "Loneliness." His final album, For the Queen, appeared in 2007, although he continued to issue singles and remixes until his death in 2024 at the age of 49.
