DigDat
Artist ∙ Hip-Hop/Rap
UK drill rapper DigDat specializes in subverting the genre’s inherently hardened nature, bringing a personal edge to his delivery. Born in 1999, the South London artist released his breakthrough single “AirForce” in 2018, a regional hit that received a star-studded remix featuring British-Jamaican duo Krept & Konan and fellow UK drill MC K-Trap. In 2019, DigDat would appear on Sierra Leonean musician Hardy Caprio’s breezy, boastful “Guten Tag” and New York rapper Lil Tjay’s “F.N [UK Remix],” which saw DigDat leaning into his vulnerability. On his 2020 debut album, Ei8ht Mile, DigDat worked his introspective and steely sides into one distinct approach, as evidenced by the project’s title track, featuring Manchester artist Aitch. The following year, DigDat would delve slyly into his street savviness on the cheeky single “How High.” By embracing self-awareness, DigDat brings a revelrous, yet perceptive approach to drill.
