Venezuela-born brothers Mau y Ricky’s hits mix Latin pop and reggaetón, and they’ve also written popular songs for some of Latin music’s biggest modern stars.
∙ The sons of Latin-pop icon Ricardo Montaner, Mau y Ricky began playing music as children and first worked professionally in their father’s backing band.
∙ The pair served as battle advisers alongside their dad, who was a coach on the 2012 and 2013 seasons of The Voice Colombia.
∙ Mau y Ricky’s 2016 single “Voy Que Quemo” was a streaming hit that also received radio airplay throughout Latin America.
∙ Their many successful songwriting credits include Ricky Martin’s 2016 smash “Vente Pa’ Ca” and Becky G. & Natti Natasha’s 2019 hit “Sin Pijama.”
∙ On the strength of their 2017 debut EP, Arte, the duo received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
∙ Their 2019 debut studio LP, Para Aventuras y Curiosidades, made the Billboard Latin Pop Top 10 and featured “Desconocidos,” their hit with Colombian artists Manuel Turizo and Camilo.
