After a troubled adolescence that involved serious legal trouble, rapper Go Yayo began repping for his hometown of Fort Worth on the national stage.
• Go Yayo started rapping by flipping emotional Drake songs into hardcore street freestyles. He adopted the Go Yayo alias after going by Kayo for a short time.
• He got his first taste of local fame with the 2014 single “Don’t Trip.”
• When he was 18, the rapper beat an attempted murder case that could’ve put him behind bars for 20 years.
• Yayo kicked off his Good Dope series in 2017. The third installment, released in 2019, features Houston’s Maxo Krem and Quin NFN as guests.
