Dimension

Artist ∙ Dance

Robert Etheridge’s alias, Dimension, is well chosen: The UK producer’s work is all about exploring the scale of drum 'n' bass at its most massive while testing its outer limits at the same time. Born in 1991, Etheridge began DJing in the early 2010s and, after signing with Chase & Status’ MTA Records in 2014, broke through in 2018 with “Desire,” a Sub Focus collaboration that became one of 21st-century D'n'B’s biggest hits. Since then, his palette has drawn upon the expanse of dance-music history—trance synths, acid bass, big-beat breaks. The club is his canvas: In addition to his DJ sets, Dimension is known for multisensory live shows that combine lasers, LEDs, and even scents (via fragrances he has pumped into the venues). A perfectionist deeply concerned with integrity of vision, he produced, mixed, and mastered his debut LP, 2021’s Organ, all on his own, and he also writes his own vocals, in collaboration with his featured singers. What holds it all together are his soaring melodies and penchant for high drama.
