Stephen Puth
Artist ∙ Dance
Pop singer Stephen Puth wrote songs for other acts before signing a record deal in 2018 and releasing the first in a string of singles.
• Puth grew up playing piano and guitar. He began producing at age 21 and realized music was his passion.
• After leaving college for a job in finance he ended up disliking, Puth landed an internship at a record company in Los Angeles, where he began writing songs for other musicians.
• He initially had no plans of being an artist, but then Arista Records exec David Massey convinced him to step into the spotlight.
• His retro-leaning 2018 debut single, “Sexual Vibe,” quickly racked up millions of streams.
• Puth co-wrote his third single, 2019’s “Look Away,” with his older brother, the pop star Charlie Puth.
