Xzibit

Artist ∙ Hip-Hop/Rap

An entertainment jack of all trades, Xzibit was a successful rapper before he reached a wider audience by hosting MTV’s Pimp My Ride and immersing himself in the Hollywood scene.

• The Detroit native moved to Albuquerque at age nine and ultimately landed in Los Angeles, where he started rapping under the name Exhibit A.
• He notched his first Billboard Hot 100 hit with “Paparazzi,” off his 1996 debut album, At the Speed of Life. The track was later used as part of the videogame soundtrack.
• In 1999, Xzibit scored three features on Dr. Dre’s classic 2001 album and lent his signature snarl to Snoop Dogg’s 1999 single “Bitch Please.”
• He had a bit part as a wannabe battle rapper in the 2002 film 8 Mile, starring Eminem. He’s since appeared in films like XXX: State of the Union (2005), Derailed, and The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008).
• Xzibit found a whole new audience when he became the host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride in 2004.
• He made his directorial debut with the 2019 digital series Broken Ground.
• Alongside Demrick and Cypress Hill member B-Real, he’s a member of the hip-hop supergroup Serial Killers. Their fourth mixtape, Summer of Sam, dropped in 2020.
