MELVV
Artist ∙ Electronic
Melvv is a Wisconsin-based EDM producer who creates light, cheerful house tracks as well as slightly duskier downtempo songs. He grew up in Cedarburg, a town adjacent to Milwaukee, and became interested in electronic music after seeing videos of Daft Punk's 2007 tour. After receiving Logic 9 for Christmas, he began making music. He wrote bright, optimistic tunes in order to pull himself out of a depression. By the time he started attending college at the University of Wisconsin, he had amassed thousands of followers on SoundCloud. He began releasing singles via Yebo Music in 2015, and remixed songs by artists such as Louis the Child and Kerli in 2016. By this time, his work had become more vocal-driven and R&B-influenced. ~ Paul Simpson
