Kris Kross Amsterdam

Artist ∙ Dance

Dutch dance-pop trio Kriss Kross Amsterdam produce feel-good songs for summer pool parties, often by incorporating hooks from ’90s and early-’00s pop and R&B hits.

• Brothers Jordy and Sander Huisman started the group as a duo and were joined by MC Yuki in 2014. The group’s name is an homage to ’90s-era American rappers Kriss Kross.
• KKA scored an international hit with their second single, 2016’s “Sex,” a collaboration with Cheat Codes that interpolates the hook from Salt-n-Pepa’s 1991 hit “Let’s Talk About Sex.” The single charted in at least 20 countries and went quadruple platinum in Sweden.
• Conor Maynard and Ty Dolla $ign feature on their third single, “Are You Sure?” It was another international hit and the first in a string of Maynard collabs, including 2018’s “Whenever” (which interpolates Shakira) and 2019’s “Ooh Girl” (which does the same with Blackstreet).
