British neo-blues singer Rory Graham announces himself in some style on this fleshed-out, sonically rich debut mini-album. Graham’s voice—a swampy, rumbling marvel whether gilding the glitchy “No Mother” or belting out pitch-black showstopper “Lay My Body Down”—is the inarguable star of Wolves. That said, a trio of killer cameos (most notably Vince Staples’ mic-dropping “Hell Yeah” verse) only enhance the arrival of an inimitable, vital voice.
