So, naturally, when she announced a solo debut separate from her namesake group, just like JENNIE’s blockbuster “SOLO” and ROSÉ’s charming guitar-pop EP R before her, the world took notice. “LALISA” is LISA’s first track, an explosive 2010s-era hip-hop-pop throwback crafted by BLACKPINK’s longtime collaborators Teddy and Bekuh Boom. On the B-side, recorded entirely in English, is “MONEY,” highlighting her distinctive flow (straight out of the school of Nicki Minaj). It’s a celebration of, well, money, a tight articulation of rap’s fiscal aspirations.
