While some of their peers in the contemporary corridos scene pumped out project after project after project throughout 2020, Herencia de Patrones showed considerable restraint by comparison. For some time, it appeared that their characteristically explicit Sorry for the Wait EP from March would be the group’s sole project of the calendar year, as their focus seemed to shift to launching their HP Entertainment imprint and playing a handful of high-profile socially distanced concerts with their Rancho Humilde labelmates. Thankfully, Para Los Que Conocen El Rollo arrives towards the tail end of the holiday season with all the thrills of a classic basketball buzzer-beater. These seven Clika anthems show that the narcotized troublemakers haven’t missed a beat, evidenced by standouts like “Piloto Filoso” and the Grupo Triple L team-up “Pa Que Sepan.”
