This live album captures Train at their rawest and rowdiest. Recorded over three nights in 2004, Alive at Last features the San Francisco band's biggest hits. Frontman Patrick Monahan incites electrifying sing-alongs on the anthemic "Calling All Angels," the pounding piano rocker "Drops of Jupiter," and the rootsy pop groover "Meet Virginia," which climaxes with a blistering guitar solo that's looser and grittier than the studio version. Their classic-rock roots shine through, especially on a groovy cover of Faces' "Stay with Me."
