Singer/rapper Static and pop Mizrahi singer Ben El Tavori have taken over Israel's charts with their combination of dancey bass and Middle Eastern-meets-hip-hop beats. "Zahav" (Gold) brings new elements to the table. It may be a departure from the sound that first made the duo’s name, but it continues to satisfy as yet another irresistible party tune. Released at the beginning of 2017, the retro, doo-wop-inspired song stays on track by complementing the pair’s fun-loving sense of humour with upbeat handclaps and ebullient brass.
